What’s interesting is that the GtS account displays the entire text of the article, while the Mastodon account only shows the preview and a link…

You can also follow the same account from PieFed, but currently there’s nothing that comes up.

    It’s one thing to build free, decentralised alternatives to mainstream silos.

    It’s something else to outright clone them and even adopt their shortcomings. Either because their shortcomings allegedly are part of the very concept (e.g. microblogging isn’t microblogging if it isn’t enforcing a purist Twitter style), or because aspiring users could be irritated if these shortcomings weren’t there, or because the devs don’t even see them as shortcomings because they’ve never experienced anything without these shortcomings.
