There are three potential reasons for members of this forum to have a look at https://vutuv.de/
You are tired or annoyed of LinkedIn. You are searching for a job or a candidate. You are technically curious and want to have a look at the inner workings of such a project. We use everything Phoenix Framework has to offer and connect to the Fediverse.vutuv compared to LinkedIn is not closed gated and it is free for everybody. You can read every posting and visit any profile without having to register first. Have a look at my profile at https://vutuv.de/wintermeyer
All the data is hosted on our servers in Germany. Nothing is send to the cloud. No third party cookies.
Please give it a try and please do give me feedback. Here or if you find a bug or want to post a feature request in our GitHub repo. Thanks!

I support the idea of a federated employment platform. However I see no reason for an employment platform to have social features.
Right? In what way does it help anything? Only makes things worse.
Unfortunately this is mostly an AI project :(
Honestly though I feel like a federated linked in has the same problem as a federated dating site…, or really even federated facebook style social media etc…
Federation can work for something like lemmy, in that we can be useful in spite of a lack of userbase compared to the corporate version. 200 people scattered around the world to talk about linux, or open source works.
Trying to find someone close enough to you to date, or looking for a specialized employee or a close enough to work on site employee on the other hand, is a hell of a stretch.
Funny as I wanted to recommend bizzFed today. I finally pulled the recommendation due to rather ungoverned AI use.
I cannot asses whether vutuv is really better in that regard, but at a first glimpse Wintermeyer’s AI workflow seems to be more sophisticated.
Love it, I’ve signed up, awesome work with import from LinkedIn feature seems really handy for users!
… there are no job postings yet
I is hard to remember this name. Please consider another
